The Story |

Patricia Jean Edge-Huff of Cherokee heritage was raised amongst the energy of the crystals in Arkansas. She has been working in the field of holistic healing, bodywork, and massage since 1980. Her early training includes the techniques of Swedish massage, reflexology, Trager bodywork, Reiki, guided imagery, and music.
Patricia moved to Baja California Sur, Mexico in 1990 where, during five years of daily meditation, she received information that gradually led to the development of the healing techniques that became the foundations of Crystal Light Therapy.
Crystal Light Therapy combines crystals, guided imagery, and sound to focus love light frequencies into the human physical body; allowing people to expand their consciousness and experience their own true divine nature. This awareness expansion realization is the product of Patricia's crystal healing treatments.
In 1996 she was drawn to the emerging spa industry in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico where she introduced her holistic massage into the spa menu of Avanti Spa. In 1998, Patricia introduced her crystal healing massage into the Spa at Las Ventanas al Paraiso. The treatment was acclaimed by a diverse and discriminating clientele; reinforcing the belief that a variety of resources and methods were needed in order to maintain spiritual and physical balance for clients. Crystal Light Therapy accentuates the spiritual dimension of Body, Mind, & Spirit.
At the ISPA 2001 conference Patricia lectured on "The Spiritual Essence in Spa". This topic was also presented at Spacifically 2002 spa conference. Patricia has published several articles in Spa Management Journal. The February 2000 issue discusses the effectiveness of Crystal Light Therapy and its place in the spa industry. In 2002 Crystal Light Therapy received certification as a Continuing Education Provider by the National Certification Board of Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork. In 2003, Crystal Light Therapy formed a teaching/working alliance with Colour Energy Corporation of Vancouver, B.C. and Inger Naes Spa Concepts of Norway.
In 2004 a teaching/working relationship was created with Mary Nelson and LaStone Therapy, Inc. A powerful new healing process, LaCrystal Stone was created. By uniting Father Sky (Heaven/crystalline energy) and Mother Earth (stones) the technique brings a profoundly healing energy into the body, mind and spirit This is the next evolution in holistic therapies – the expansion of our awareness to the Divine.
Why Crystal Light Therapy?
With the myriad offerings for health, healing, and wellness being promoted these days, one must naturally ask, what are the benefits of one treatment as compared to another? What is so special about Crystal Light Therapy?
The answer to these questions becomes apparent upon familiarization with the treatment, either through training and subsequent practice by the practitioner, or through the experience of receiving the treatment as a client.
Crystal Light Therapy is an ongoing treatment composed of three specific elements. The first is purification. The second is a guided imagery meditation. The third is massage. The combination of these elements addresses the full body/mind/spirit experience.
Health Benefits:
Clients who have received one or more sessions of Crystal Light Therapy have experienced life-changing results. They report renewed energy levels. The ability to handle and cope with stress is notably increased in these people. Long dormant conditions related to non-apparent emotional disorders and insecurities are healed. Most importantly, the 'spiritual nature" of the client is brought to the surface of consciousness, becoming more fully realized, and lovingly cared for. Crystal Light Therapy brings the much needed and heretofore neglected concept of spiritual essence to the spa environment.
As Crystal Light Therapy is an ongoing therapy, it can be incorporated into one’s lifestyle. The meditation can be practiced daily, enabling a connectedness to one’s spiritual awareness, and an improvement in one’s energy level and physical health.
Financial Benefits:
From a financial perspective, the treatment produces respectable results, also. The Crystal Light Therapy treatment can be offered as three separate treatments as add-ons to any existing treatment on the spa menu. For instance, the combination of a facial with crystal work is a popular treatment. A relaxing massage, incorporating the use of crystals is a soothing experience, much along the lines of a hot stone massage. Probably the most recommended approach is to sell the treatment as a high-end signature treatment for the spa.
At the end of the treatment a special quartz crystal in a monogrammed gold bag is given to the client as a keepsake remembrance of their experience and for use in daily life. Beautiful sets of chakra balancing crystals can be offered for sale for the purpose of meditation and balancing energy centers at home.
